ASMC is a United States Government approved lender, authorized to invest in FHA Title I loans since 1995. Loans on single-family homes may be used for alterations, repairs and for site improvements. Loans on multifamily structures may be used only for building alteration and repairs. A property owner may apply at any lender (bank, mortgage company, savings and loan association, credit union) that is approved to make Title I loans, from which ASMC typically will purchase the loan in bulk. Per HUD: All FHA-approved lenders (Title I and Title II) are authorized to conduct
business nationwide.
Since 1995, ASMC has invested in approximately 14,000 of such HUD Home Improvement Loans, primarily purchased from United States Governmental entities. The great bulk of those loans are now paid-in-full, and the corresponding mortgages have been released. If for some reason your mortgage has not been released, please refer to “Release of Mortgage” tab above.
On a more limited scale, ASMC also offers “private” loans to homeowners to assist with home improvement projects, as an alternative to HUD Title I loans. Like Title I loans, the private loans are typically originated by third parties, and then purchased by ASMC as an investment.
